What mail settings should I use?
A POP
email client is a piece of software written to check an email account
on servers such as ours. Most people use an email client that is
bundled with a web browser. Typically these would be Outlook, Outlook
Express, Netscape Messenger. Other typical standalone email clients are
Eudora Mail and Pegasus Mail. In short there are five settings required
in your account setup screen to check our servers. The details of these
four settings are:
incoming mail server ........ mail.YourDomain.com (replace YourDomain.com with your domain name)
outgoing mail server ........ mail.YourDomain.com (replace YourDomain.com with your domain name)
username ........ your domain user name as specified in the welcome email
password ........ your user password as specified in the welcome email
outgoing server requires authentication: yes
There are usually a few other settings but those are in regard to how
your email software acts and not required by our servers. Specific
setup of the email software can be found using the software's HELP
feature or by reading the following setup documents. These links will
open in a separate window so to return to this page simply close the
additional window and this page will be waiting.
